The Collective League

Service Description

We are super happy to announce our newly launched competition, named Collective League.  Collective League is a revolutionary format of competition with the Rating Central system. A few words about the format: • 8 tables setup - 5 players per table - Round Robin - best of 3 matches - at the end of the night the 2 top players move one table up, 3rd stays in the same table and 4th/5th players move a table down, for next week.  • Registrations close 2pm every Tuesday, Tuesday night the draws are in your emails for Wednesday’s comp.  • Every week you fight for your spot, in this singles format but there is no commitment to play every week. Flexibility between table tennis and life balance is paramount for us.  • Warm up 6pm - Collective League starts 6:30pm sharp aiming to finish by 9pm max, to avoid late nights. 3 minutes warmup between matches. • Juniors will have their own comp on Monday, called Rising Stars, without Rating Central but the Top 2 juniors from Monday’s Comp will join the Collective League in slots  based on their ratings, if they want.  • There will be no cost for the premium members, $15 per night for annual members and $20 for non-members. Max 40 players per night, priority will be given according to membership level.  • Monthly ladder of winning ratio per player will be published on social media, at the end of the 10 weeks will have a pizza party and will announce winners and special prizes for them. • The top TTC coaches will compete in the Collective League so get ready for some tough matches! The new format is a flexible format that every player is aiming to go higher in the ladder, playing different players each week, with no regular commitment or trying to find fill ins like a team event, finish early and secure 4 single matches per night always in a competitive level.  We are determined to revolutionise table tennis in Canberra and this is a small step forward with more exciting events to follow.
